Welcome to the Mayflower Mariner website! The PTA at our wonderful neighborhood school plays a vital role in the success of our students. Through our support & fundraising we are able to strengthen the foundation that our children benefit from every day at school.
The PTA’s primary function is to sponsor on-going enrichment programs for the benefit of our children, such as technology, field trips, health & welfare of all children through play, assemblies, after school enrichment classes, library and teacher supplies, and much more. Other PTA-sponsored events and programs include Red Ribbon Week, Reflections art contest, Book fair, Camp Mayflower, Staff appreciation week, and our Thanksgiving food drive. Funds for these programs are raised through the Book Fairs, Walk-a-Thon, Fall Fundraiser, Straight Donation Campaign and the annual Auction. To keep you up-to-date on all of these exciting activities, PTA volunteers coordinate weekly Text Knows Blasts, PTA Email, posts to both our PTA website & PTA Facebook page along with green folder flyers.
There are so many ways for you to be a part of the PTA and to help enhance the learning experience of Mayflower children. Its about Getting Connected and Being Involved. The PTA meets monthly (the first Monday of each month in the Mayflower PTA room (room 8 at 7:00PM); we encourage you to attend a meeting and learn about what’s going on. Talk with your teacher to find out how you can help in the classroom. Sign up to chair a sub-committee or to help transform a classroom into a literary wonderland for the Book Fair – the possibilities are endless! We are here to Reach ALL Students!
