Mayflower school takes school safety very seriously. Safety procedures are in place along with our behavior expectations and school visitor and volunteer policies. Staff and students practice various safety drills on a regularly scheduled basis to ensure preparedness. Additionally, staff receives training in school-wide emergency awareness. In an emergency on campus, our rapid notification system would alert parents to the situation and promptly provide timely updates.

The campus entry from the Alta Vista parking lot is gated. The gated entrance will be closed and locked during the school day from 8:30-2:15. All students arriving at school after 8:30 will need to enter campus from Mayflower Avenue.

In the event student and staff need to evacuate the school site, our alternate evacuation locations are as follows:

First Evangelical Church; 625 W. Foothill, Monrovia, CA 91016;
300 Block W. Hillcrest, Monrovia, CA 91016.
