Grab and Go Pickup

Save the date: Monday August 17, 2020

Hello Mariner Families!
We have scheduled a Grab and Go event for all Mariners on Monday, August 17!
Time assignments are listed below and based on grade level enrollment. This will be an
opportunity for families to do so many things prior to the first day of school including:
• Pick up necessary instructional materials and supplies
• Pick up the PTA packet
• Check out a chrome book if needed
Our amazing team of staff members will be distributing materials much like we did last
May. Though we have missed everyone so much and are excited to see you, please
remember that this will be a time of following safety protocols and procedures to ensure
a swift process for all. We have more than 500 students to serve and want to avoid
long lines and delays.
Materials will be distributed in grade level bands (see below) at three different stations.
Station 1 - Instructional materials and supplies
Station 2 - PTA Packet & class assignment
Station 3 - Chrome book check out (optional)
Staff will be social distancing, while wearing masks and gloves and we expect that all
mariners will do the same.
Family Guidelines:
• Please arrive on campus at your designated time slot
• All individuals in the car must wear a mask.
• Remain in your car at all times

Grab and Go Process

Step 1 - Locate your time to attend the grab and go, on the schedule below
Step 2 - While at home please write or print: your child’s first and last name and
grade level on a full sheet of paper, and place it in the car dashboard upon your
arrival to school
Step 3 - Enter the parking lot on Alta Vista and follow the drive through to each
station in the parking lot

Step 4 - Stop at each station and collect your items from staff and please, wear a
mask while your windows are down.

Grab and Go Schedule
12:00-2:00 PM TK/K & 1
2:00-4:00 PM 2nd & 3rd
4:00-6:00 PM 4th & 5th
6:00-7:00 PM Makeup

Sibling materials may be picked up all at one time. Families may select the child’s
time slot that best suits their needs. We hope accommodating families in this way is
helpful.

Note: This will be the only pick up event scheduled prior to the first day of school. We
have offered times later in the day and a makeup hour in the evening, in hopes of
supporting working parents.
